——英国脱欧公投结果出来后英国首相卡梅伦宣布辞职的演讲稿
Thecountryhasjusttakenpartinagiantdemocraticexercise–perhapsthebiggestinourhistory.Over33millionpeople–fromEngland,Scotland,Wales,NorthernIrelandandGibraltar–haveallhadtheirsay.
这个国家刚刚进行了一场大型的民主活动,这也许是我们历史上最大的一次。
超过三千三百万来自英格兰、苏格兰、威尔士、北爱尔兰和直布罗陀的人民表达了他们的声音。
Weshouldbeproudofthefactthatintheseislandswetrustthepeoplewiththesebigdecisions.

Wenotonlyhaveaparliamentarydemocracy,butonquestionsaboutthearrangementsforhowwearegoverned,therearetimeswhenitisrighttoaskthepeoplethemselves,andthatiswhatwehavedone.

DeliveringstabilitywillbeimportantandIwillcontinueinpostasPrimeMinisterwithmyCabinetforthenext3months.TheCabinetwillmeetonMonday.
